Scroll: On Staying When Others Leave

Recovered from Etruria, Southern Coastal Recovery Dig

Not all who leave are weak.

Some are tired. Some are finished.

Yet paths rarely empty without reason.

When voices thin and warmth recedes,

you learn what effort feels like without encouragement.

Here, resolve either loosens or deepens.

If you stay, do so gently.

Let the work continue at its proper pace.

The absence of others need not harden the heart.

It may simply give it room to grow.
